My essay/chapter, Squirrels: 1, Home Team: 0, appeared in Lake Country Journal Magazine, Feb/Mar 2023 Issue.  I was honored to be one of the featured writers.  Most people can’t imagine an old Lutheran pastor standing outside, naked, but for an afghan wrapped around his waist, one cold February morning.  The squirrels saw it. Hopefully none of my neighbors did.  This true story is one of the chapters in Campfire in the Basement – Reflections from a North Woods Lake.  Some reflection, I’d say.
